Nina Agelvis is a freelance lighting designer, director, programmer, and draftsman based in New York City, New York. She graduated with her MFA in Lighting Design & Technology at CCM-University of Cincinnati. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine, BA in Drama and Honors in Lighting Design.

Her most recent works: Lighting Director for “All Things Go” at Forest Hills (2024), Lighting Director for “Head in The Clouds” at Forest Hills (2024 & 2023), Lighting Designer for “Rabbit Summer” at Mile Square Theater (2024), Lighting Designer for “Mid Summer Nights Dream” at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company (2024), Lighting Designer for “FeeJee Mermaid” at The Flea Theater (2024), Lighting Designer for “Club Royal” on the Serenade of the Seas with Royal Caribbean Cruiselines (2024) Lighting Designer for “Funny, Like an Abortion.” at Mile Square Theater (2023) Lighting Designer for “Night of the Living Dead: The Remix” at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company (2022) Lighting Designer for “Imagi*Nation Part 3” at The Center at West Park (2022) Associate Lighting Designer for Queer the Ballet (2022) Associate Scenographer for "Opera Naples-Festival Under the Stars" (2022), Associate Lighting Designer for "School Girls; or The African Mean Girls Play" (2022) at Arkansas Repertory Theater, Lighting Designer for "The Brothers Paranormal" (2022) with Perseverance Theater, Lighting Designer for "Pride & Prejudice" at The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company (2020 & 2022).

She is currently full-time as an Events & Production Lighting Specialist at Google, Pier 57, hired under FIRST Agency. She continues to freelance on the side as a lighting director in various venues such as Avant Gardner, House of Yes, Deluxx Fluxx, Hammerstein Ballroom, and many more in New York City.

She won the NextGen Parnelli Award in 2023 from the 21st annual Parnelli Awards.
